How to Make Homemade Waffles

One morning, I ran out of boxed batter and quickly found out how easy it is to make waffles from scratch. Whip up a batch this weekend and elevate your breakfast game! BUT FIRST FOLLOW @homewithmrshomebody 👈🏽.

Ingredients:

- 1 ½ cups flour

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 1 teaspoon salt

- ½ teaspoon baking powder

- ½ teaspoon baking soda

- 1 large egg

- ¼ cup sugar

- ¼ cup salted butter, softened, plus more for serving

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup milk

- ½ cup buttermilk

- cooking spray

- pure maple syrup, and/or chocolate chips, for serving

Instructions:

🧇 Heat up your waffle iron

🧇 Combine all dry ingredients then mix in the wet ingredients.

🧇 Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray then distribute the batter evenly on the waffle iron. Allow to cook until golden brown then enjoy.
