Investing in dog beds, is it worth it?

TLDR: it depends on your dog.

Mouse is a bed loving dog from the start. We had this floofy round bed at the start (image 6) that he immediately loved, but at the same time we hated because it is so easy to trap fur and the sheets are not removable.

Then we got a “cooling bed” from Tao Bao (image 5) which was basically a straw mat with cushioned edges. Mouse is once again okay with it, but the one time he had diarrhoea, the smart boy used it as a pee pad🤣 So we know, in his heart, this bed was the least valuable item in our house.

Floor mats also used to be an option (image 7). Mouse used to sleep on the thicker, non-slip floor mats.

Then we bought… Dreamcastle Dog Bed! Kapok stuffed, better than my pillow🤣 We love it because it has removable covers for us to wash! But a side note, invest in the waterproof cover (does not come with the bed). Mouse likes to bring his chews back to bed to enjoy so there’s so much saliva stains!! Plus we don’t blowdry his fur due to his fear of hairdryer so we towel dry and he goes to his bed and more stains🥲

We also know dogs that just doesn’t like to sleep on bed and prefers floor. In this case, you might want to invest in more waterproof, non-slip mats for your dogs to lie on. This will help prevent calluses on their elbows and joints from constant contact with hard surface.

We have yet to try Memory Foam beds, heard these are really good! Overall we love the quality of Dreamcastle so far and it’s the first better bed we invested in. Safe to say Mouse loves it too from all his sleeping patterns🤣
