Did you know foods can help ease your anxiety?! What you put in your body can affect so much! Here are a few foods that help with anxiety and how:

Cashews specifically, and some other nuts, contain selenium. Selenium is a mineral that may elevate mood and combat effects of too much cortisol. It helps to strengthen your immune system in times of stress.

Leafy greens are naturally rich in magnesium. Magnesium may help calm you down. It helps to manage your stress response and cortisol levels.

Beef and some other meats are rich in B Vitamins. Specifically Vitamin B12 may help protect against anxiety and depression. It does this because it helps your body metabolize serotonin which regulates your mood.

Some other food examples include salmon, chamomile, turmeric, dark chocolate, yogurt, green tea, almonds, blueberries, and eggs. There are so many different food groups here so you can choose your favorite and start incorporating it into your diet and see if anything changes!
