We often think of anger as outward–yelling, raised voices, or appearing out of control.

But the truth is that postpartum rage doesn’t always look like that.

It can come out as passive-aggressive behavior, snippiness, blaming, or resentment.

It can also look like:

〰 Extreme irritation

〰 Lack of patience with partner, other children, pets, etc.

〰 Uncharacteristic resentment

〰 Harsh self-talk

〰 Being extremely critical or hard on others

〰 Always feeling at capacity

〰 Feeling like it takes little to annoy you

〰 Angry thoughts and visualizations

Some of those expressions of anger might not be visible from the outside. But they often leave us feeling just as guilty as physical anger expression.

And they are all potential signs from your body that something is up—that you need to take a look at what’s going on and address the reasons for your anger.

These things don’t make you a bad mom! We all experience them sometimes. But when we can get to the root of our anger and prevent rage expressions from happening—no matter what they look like—we feel more at ease, more peaceful, and more free as moms!

Starting May 1st, @psychedmommy and I are holding a special LIVE session of All The Rage: Raising kids with less anger and more connection.

Over the 5-week course and live mentorship, you’ll:

✔︎ Learn how to parent in a way that feels good

✔︎ And so much more
