Pregnancy Skincare: Beware of These! 🚫🤰

Hi fellow moms-in-the-making!✨ I didn’t know that there were skincare products to avoid until others discussed it in a mummies’ chat 😅 Here are 3 skincare products you should avoid while pregnant:

1. Retinol: While retinol is a really great ingredient for anti-aging, it can potentially harm your baby (especially in the first trimester) Opt for other pregnancy-safe alternatives like Vitamin C or Niacinamide instead.

2. Chemical Sunscreens: Oxybenzone is the main ingredient of many chemical sunscreens which may not be safe during pregnancy. Use mineral sunscreens which are safer instead.

3. Salicylic Acid: This is commonly found in products targeted at acne. When used in high doses it can be risky for your baby. If you can’t give up your acids, try AHAs such as glycolic acid instead.
