An Acquired Taste 👜🗺

Plan a vacation day at home to reset.

Yes, I plan this into my vacations, but it usually works out to be a Sunday anyway, so I'm not losing any PTO. My mind and body thank me later in the week because I was able to prep for the upcoming reality of work and routine.

✨️The Checklist✨️

Unpack, Tidy Up, and Do Laundry 🧳🧹

Get rid of the chaos right away! Unpack, toss your clothes in the laundry, and do a quick tidy-up. Coming home to a clean space will make you feel more relaxed and ready to reset. You’ll thank yourself tomorrow.

Netflix and Meal Prep 🍽️

Give yourself a break and set up easy meals for the week. Meal prepping saves time so you have less to adjust to after vacay. Bonus: you can binge your favorite show while doing it! I just caught up on The Rings of Power: any LOTR fans here?💻👀

Detox Travel Lag with Self-Care 🛁

Whether it’s bath time, a skincare refresh, or a self-manicure, do whatever you need to de-stress from the travel day you just had. Your body and mind will thank you!

Get Moving 🏋️‍♀️

Fight the slump by sticking to your regular workout routine. Even if it’s just a light stretch, yoga, or a walk outside, it’ll help you feel back in sync.

Hydrate Like It’s Your Job 💧

After all that travel, your body is probably dehydrated. Start your reset with lots of water (or some lemon water) to rehydrate and help flush out any travel fatigue. Your skin and energy levels will bounce back quicker!

Plan Your Week Ahead 🗓️

Take a few minutes to check your calendar or to-do list and ease back into reality. It helps you feel more prepared and less overwhelmed when things pick up again.

Rest & Recharge 🛋️

It’s a reset day, not a rush day. Slip into your coziest loungewear, relax, and enjoy the quiet before it’s back to the grind.

Go to Bed at Your Regular Time 💤

No matter how tempting it is to stay up late, getting back to your normal sleep schedule will help you adjust faster.
