crochet cat toy 🧶🐈‍⬛

Our other two cats don’t play with stereotypical cat toys (they prefer stuffed animals or milk ties, of all things) but little Seymour lovesssss all the cat toys! I knew i wanted to make him a toy but i had no idea where to start, until i found this free door hanger pattern from Lion Brand! The pattern wasn’t hard to follow at all and literally took me *maybe* forty minutes.

You will need some sort of stuffing for the ball, and I’d recommend the normal poly-fil stuffing usually used in amigurumi crochet. I don’t have any at the moment so i just used some fuzzy blanket yarn i had lying around, and i know the ball could’ve been a lot firmer had i used poly-fil. I also doubled the chain length for the squiggle! I thought the length specified in the pattern would hang too high for my boy to reach, so i made it longer and he can get to it just fine!
