1. You label foods as good or bad. When you do this, youâre assigning morality to food, therefore youâre telling yourself you canât have the âbadâ food, you can only have the âgood â food. And if you eat the bad food, then YOU are bad. This causes the cycle of feeling out of control around âbadâ foods!
2. You arenât honoring your hunger and cravings. Same with above, if youâre constantly telling yourself you canât have something, thatâs ALL youâre going to think about! So when you finally do allow yourself to have it, youâll eat/drink a lot of it, thus telling yourself youâre out of control around it
3. You try to âeat cleanâ đ§Œand restrict during the week, only to find yourself bingeing on the weekends and then âstarting overâ on Monday. Same as #1 and #2 : restriction leads to binging and feeling out of control around the food.
4. Skipping meals or still restricting yourself of certain foods when you do eat meals. â Youâre underfeeding physically and mentally! Which is only going to make you more obsessed with food. That puts you in the cycle ofâŠâŠ.(see #1 -3).
