Do You Use Your Kids As An Excuse?

I swear I did not have kids just to use them as excuses to get out of things 😂 But before kids, I thought many times, how great it would be to have them as an excuse!

Before kids people would take advantage of me and my time! Convince me to stay out late when I didn’t want to, ask me to work overtime, (because I wasn’t doing anything anyway!) And try to force me to travel for work.

It’s like people think if you don’t have kids, you’re always ‘free’ which is certainly not true!

Don’t get me wrong, I love to socialize. But it can sometimes cause me to be super overstimulated and worn out.

Now that I have twins, it’s a different world! People are alot more understanding of my time. They expect me to go home early or not stay long. And they will never ask me to work overtime or travel for work again!
