My thoughts on self love as a Christian.

This scripture has been on my heart all year long.

Lately the Lord has been talking to me a lot about learning how to receive love and most importantly love myself.

Over and over again he's spoke the words "tend to your vineyard"

I've always been the type to help others, go out of my way to make sure people are taken care of, and even push people towards their goals. But when it came to doing things for me l always found that a struggle.

This is a season where the Holy Spirit is really teaching me how to take of myself. Not for anyone else but truly just for me.

For some reason I’ve always thought of this as a selfish act but I’m learning that loving myself and taking care of myself is only going to help me become a better person to those around me.

Is anyone else struggling with self love in this way? If so what are you doing to get out of it?
