recently i went to try a restaurant in JB as i saw the really good reviews online! the first time i went there and turns out someone booked out the whole restaurant for an event so we couldn’t even dine in 😨 so we decided to come back another day!

the restaurant is about a 10 minutes drive from the woodlands checkpoint and i recommend making a reservation as well if you can. i reached at about 11:45am as they opened at 12pm and managed to secure a seat without a reservation.

I ordered:

1 x salmon belly

2 x yellow tail

2 x salmon (regular)

1 x otoro

1 x salmon mentai maki

also 2 chawanmushi & 2 hot green tea, the total bill came up to ~$70 sgd! (because of the otoro as it was seasonal pricing!)

The quality of the sashimi was super fresh and the slices were huge. usually i don’t really enjoy yellow tail but my husband mistook it for swordfish and ordered 2 portions hahaha but we were surprised as it was really good! the week before we went to Warakuya japanese restaurant and it really paled in comparison to this restaurant.

The ambience of the place was also really cosy so i would definitely be back!
