Authentic tasting Penang dishes at only ~$5 ✨

There aren’t a lot of restaurants in Singapore specializing in Penang food thus we were excited to try out the dishes from Penang Savour!

🍜 Penang Laksa ($5): The only other Penang Laksa I’ve tried was in Penang itself and it tasted great so I was excited to try the local rendition of this dish. I was pleasantly surprised that it was about 70% similar and the broth was flavorful - not overly sour and still had an appetizing kick to it. The noodles were springy and complemented the broth well! I would say this is a dish that you will either love or hate and I belong to the former 😋

🦐 Prawn Noodles ($5): The prawn noodles were really good too and came with two prawns and various other ingredients. The broth was rich and tasty and we can’t help drinking it continuously. If you have a craving for prawn noodles, this will definitely satisfy it!

🍧 Penang Chendol ($2.80): This is a small bowl of chendol with quite a generous topping of green jelly. Besides green jelly it also had a handful of sweet red beans. The amount of gula melaka was also sufficient and made the dessert really fragrant. The portion is just nice for 2 pax to share if you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to consume too much calories 😋

Total cost: We paid $10 with a discount coupon but the usual price will be $12.80 ☺️

⭐️ Overall a good place to grab some affordable Penang inspired dishes, do grab your seats early as the space is limited and could get quite crowded during peak hours!
