Yay it’s holiday season! Time to visit Bali😚💛

Sure, we all don swimsuits and sunnies while sitting on the sand, but sometimes, you’re in need of something a little more. Scrolling through countless sites for inspiration can be very time-consuming so I’ve gone ahead and made a comprehensive beach style guide.

1. Y2K Inspired

Y2K fashion is making a comeback and we’re welcoming back the trend with open arms. The great thing about incorporating Y2K fashion into your everyday look is that it can easily be incorporated without feeling like you’re overdoing it. Also, adding a few Y2K accessories to your existing wardrobe is easy: a simple bucket hat, a couple of butterfly or claw clips, or some platform sneakers, to name just a few. Either way, you can create a new, Y2K-inspired outfit with your favorite floral dress and any of these fun accessories. Pull out your favorite floral maxi-dress, pair it with a simple pair of platform sneakers, and last but not least, a bucket hat. If you’re not a fan of the bucket hat trend, tie your hair up nicely with a claw clip and your favorite gold hoops. This look is perfect for a day out to the beach with your best girls or simply taking yourself out on a date!

2. A Classic Button Down

A good button-down is a shirt that keeps on giving. The style fits every known aesthetic including off-duty model, coastal grandmother, dark academia and the beach-goer. Whether a button-down could be solid or striped, worn with denim shorts or slacks or stolen from your dad’s closet, it will always look good. For the beach, look for a button-down that’s made out of lightweight fabric, like linen and pair it with vintage-inspired denim shorts.

3. A Mesh Moment

Mesh was made for the beach because it’s honestly not very appropriate for many other settings (and because of the whole fisherman’s net purpose). Mesh is a fun way to create a layered look in hotter temps—you can add a mesh dress over your swimsuit, bralette or if you’re feeling scandalous, nothing at all. The material comes in a variety of knit sizes so you’ll be able to determine how much skin you want to show. I layered mine over a knit tank top and felt comfortably covered up when walking through non-beach areas.
