UBUD DAY TRIP ITINERARY ☀️ Our guide's reccs ‼️🙌🏻

hello friends! my bf recently made a trip to Bali and decided to do a day trip to Ubud ☀️🌱

Before coming to Bali, we found a private driver (recc from a friend) to bring us around some of Ubud's most known attractions. We were quite clueless as to where to go but luckily our driver was so helpful in creating our personalised itinerary! My bf and I only wanted to try Kopi Luwak & Babu guling, as well as visit a few key places such as the rice terraces and sukawati art market.

☕️ 1st stop: Satria Coffee Plantation

It was a small coffee plantation ground with lots of different plants! The moment we stepped in a local guide brought us around to see the different plants and harvesting processes on site. Afterwards, we were served ‼️FREE testers of different coffees and teas!!!!‼️ There was absolutely no hard selling AT ALL. Their well known kopi luwak (made from poop) was only RP50k. This place was absolutely worth the visit as who doesn't love free stuff.... 🤪It was a great morning coffee/tea stop to start the day off with 👌🏻

🌾 2nd stop: Tegalalang Rice Terraces

This was a very scenic but touristy spot! The iconic Bali Swing is NOT worth the price ($20~). Although the pictures could turn out nice on the swing, I felt like it was quite the gimmick and personally wouldn't pay for it #NotForMe .

The rest of the rice field however, was worth the visit!! There are plenty of photo spots and the view was great 😍 The steps are pretty steep tho, so do watch out if you have bad knees/injuries ❌

🥓3rd stop: Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi

Located in the middle of a rice field, this babi guling was affordable and delicious 🤤 It was recommended by our driver & was such a popular lunch spot filled with locals and tourists! I will be doing a separate review on the food itself but it was 10/10 😋

🛍️4th stop: Sukawati Art Market

This place was not the best....It was just a huge space selling typical Bali style art/souvenirs/clothes. Every seller tried to hard sell us tourists and the prices weren't that cheap either! Would not recommend stopping by, we were there for 5 mins and decided to leave. I guess if you like bargaining and need somewhere to shop, you could check it out. but it was #NotForMe

Overall, our driver really made some good recommendations and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest to hire a driver if you were to make a day trip. Private drivers are more flexible and knowledgeable on the area, always on standby and ready to leave when you are. It just makes things much easier and hassle-free.
