My first EVER surgery

Ovarian cyst.

My first surgery other than being born 😂

I think ovarian cyst is so common but not much girls knew about it!

Just to share ovarian cyst is actually result of normal ovarian follicles either fail to dissolve after releasing an egg or develop due to condition or hormonal imbalances.

Let me share my experience!

I always have no issues with my period for 25 years of my life.

But when I was 26 years old, I started to have a menstruation cramps which is weird.

Though maybe due to cold drinks or “cooling” food during normal period.

Tried to cut down but it doesn’t help.

Was hospitalised in Oct 2022, but apparently nothing much and was diagnosed as some stomach coli and discharged.

Fast forward Feb 2024, I had an extremely abdominal cramps like menstruation cramp when I wasn’t having my period!

Went to A&E and yes 2 cyst in my right ovarian that is about >5cm big combine!(refer to the picture above) 🥹🥹

Opt for surgery and the post operation was horrible for a month.

Had to start on hormone injection for 6 months as small cyst was seen during my surgery. 🥲

Currently finished my injection just waiting for period to come.

So girls! Please don’t ignore abdominal pain! 🤧🤧
