Language fun facts!

I spent the majority of my language-learning journey focusing on Romance languages or Western European languages, not giving enough credit to how super cool other languages are!

Did you know that there are over 1 BILLION native Mandarin Chinese speakers? Or, can you guess which language has 74 letters in its alphabet? (Psst…it’s Khmer!).

While we’re at it, do you know which English word has 45 letters (the longest English word)? It’s “Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis” - alung disease caused by inhaling very fine ash and sand dust. Who would’ve thought.
