"Y is for Yesterday by Sue Grafton" is one of the books in a 26 letter series (none of them are connected they all are different crimes!) I have read many of them but this is my favorite! it has a whopping 692 pages, but is very large print and easy to read. I highly recommend this book if you dare to read the crime genre! 😊 Here is the description TW:Sexual Assault, "Southern California private investigator Kinsey Mill-hones darkest and most disturbing case begins in 1979, when four private school boys sexually assault a 14-year-old classmate--and film the attack. The tape vanishes and the suspected thief, another classmate, is murdered. One boy turns state's evidence and two are convicted, but the ring-leader escapes without a trace. Now, it's 1989 and one perpetrator, Fritz McCabe, is released from prison. Unrepentant and angry, he is a virtual prisoner of his parents until a copy of the tape arrives with a ransom demand. That's when the McCabes call Kinsey Millhone for help. She keeps a watchful eye on Fritz, but he's not the only one haunted by the past. Is a viscous sociopath with a grudge against Millhone leaving traces for her to find?"

"Educated by Tara Westover" is an account of the struggle for self invention. Westover has crafted a universal coming -of-age story of what education is, and what it offers:the perspective too see ones life through new eyes, and the will too change it ❤️ this book has me so emotional and I just COULDN'T put it down 😂 I carried it in my purse everywhere. it is even reviewed by BILL GATES! I highly recommend this book!❤️ Here is the description!

" Tara Westover was 17 the first time she set foot in a classroom. Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho she prepared for the end of the world by stockpiling home, canned peaches and sleeping with her "head for the hills" bag. in the summer she stewed herbs for her mother, of midwife in healer and in the winter she's salvaged metal in her father's junkyard. her father distrusted the medical establishment so Tara never saw a doctor or nurse gashes and concussions even burns from explosions were all treated at home with herbalism. The family was so isolated from the mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education and no one to intervene when an older brother became violent. one another brother got himself into college and came back with the news of the world beyond the mountain. Tara decided to try a new kind of life. she taught herself enough mathematics, grammar and science to take the ACT and was admitted to Brigham Young University. there she studied psychology, politics, philosophy and history learning for the first time about the pivotal world events like the Holocaust and civil rights movement. her quest for knowledge transformed her taking her over oceans and across continents to Harvard and to the Cambridge University. only then would she wonder if she traveled too far, if there was still a way home.

I highly recommend this for all the crime girly's because this truly got me jumping in the thriller 'rabbit hole'. here is the description!
