Ahaha before all my gym girlies come at me. Don't worry! This post is not an attack on any style of exercise. Just here to share how my body changed with the exercises I did.

In 2020 : I was preparing to compete in a powerlifting competition. (Where competitors compete to see how heavy they could lift). Granted, I was super strong, I could lift 100KG for Deadlifts! But because I didn't watch my diet, ate even more to compensate for the caloric burn during training, and didn't do as much cardio. I was super bulky. And super unflexible.

In 2023 : After I lost weight, I rarely lift weights. At most once a twice a week. I mainly do Yoga and Pilates. I did lose quite some muscle, but luckily I have a lot left from my powerlifting days 🤭 so I'm still quite toned. And even though I lost quite some strength (40KGs Deadlift is heavy for me already), I'm more slimmer looking.

All in all, I encourage my girls to do whatever sport that makes them feel great! I used to love weightlifting, it has helped me build muscle and strength, which I could retain until now. I prefer a slimmer look as I'm now a Pilates instructor! And we need to be quite agile and slim to be able to do more poses.
