making velvet bows for my Christmas tree

Growing up, our Christmas tree was always eclectic, covered in ornaments acquired over years of Christmases. I always loved the tradition of putting up our favorite ornaments year after year, from the kindergarten crafts to the vacation souvenirs to my favorite Nutcracker figurines.

All this to say, I've never been an "aesthetic" Christmas tree person!

So as my husband and I set up our first Christmas tree in our married home, I wanted to do something fun (and inexpensive) to cover our tree till we someday acquire enough sentimental ornaments to fill it - and I landed on velvet bows! These sweet bows plus a package of bulbs from Target turned into the sweetest Christmas tree!
