Charms of summer in Hokkaido!

It's part II of my #summerdiary . Here, I'm sharing some photos of my floral journeys during the trip! Besides the dreamy lavender fields, we also immersed ourselves in the variety of colorful flowers in bloom!

There are quite a number of places around Hokkaido to enjoy the flower blooming. However, if you’re like me and prefer to visit just a few to get a 'feel' of the blooming season without feeling overwhelmed, you should consider:

- Horomitoge Lavender Garden

*Probably one of the rare places in Sapporo where you can see lavender with a cityscape view, without needing to travel all the way to Furano!

*However, drivers might encounter some difficulties on the way to the destination, as the road gets narrower, especially when entering the parking area. *The road is quite steep, and our car was at an angle of at least 45 degrees going upwards. Exiting, however, was much easier.

- Farm Tomita

*one of the popular spots in the country to view flower fields, other than lavender.

- Hinode Park

*Recommend coming here in the evening to see the sunset. Free admission and parking, and it’s not overcrowded.

- Hokuryu Sunflower Village (for sunflowers)

*We visited this place in late July and were unable to see the sunflowers in full bloom. However, it would definitely be a spectacular scene if you manage to come at the right time!
