<$1,300/Table Wedding in Orchard?! 😍💛👰🏻‍♀️

Yep, you read that right! A hotel wedding banquet for under $1,300 per table is totally possible 🤩

For context, my husband and I decided that we wanted our wedding to be as simple and 'budget' as possible. Still, we went for a banquet because (i) I'm an only child and my dad requested for a banquet, so we really wanted to honour his wish; (ii) my husband and I agreed that a banquet is the most fuss-free & comfortable for guests, compared to a buffet or other alternatives where they had to stand up and get their own food (not the most ideal for the elderly); (iii) we also liked that we could plan a seating arrangement so we can be intentional in how to seat the guests, especially for those that came alone; (iv) most hotels would have a package included (like decors) and dedicated staff to set up / clean up, which was a lot more convenient compared to a church wedding, for instance, where we would need a team to help with those things. So we went on our hunt for the most 'worth' hotel banquet. Here's my honest review!

💰 PRICE - 5/5 💰

Wedding venues can get really expensive these days. When searching for a venue, my husband and I were on a mission to find something affordable. We didn't want to burn a hole in our wallets or scare off our guests with a super high-end venue. Orchard Rendezvous hit the sweet spot for us; their cheapest menu option (8-course meal) was at just $1,298.00+ for a weekend lunch! 😍

🍴FOOD QUALITY - 5/5🍴

Affordable AND delicious? Count me in plssss 😍 Something to note is that the food was prepared by TungLok Signatures, the restaurant right next to the hotel ballroom. TungLok is famous for its amazing food, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! Even the picky eaters were impressed, and that’s saying something! 😋

💐 PACKAGE - 4.5/5 💐

For the price, I thought the package was rather comprehensive. It included all the essentials: a complimentary tasting session, venue decorations (like aisle flowers and stage decor), wedding cake, a one-night stay in the bridal suite for the couple plus another night in a superior room for the bridal or groom's party, and more! Just a heads up though, the decor options are fixed by the hotel, though you get to choose from three designs. If none of them are your style, you might need to DIY or hire a third-party vendor.

✨AMBIENCE & SPACE - 4/5 ✨

If you’re dreaming of glass windows and twinkling lights, this might not be the venue for you. But for us, it was alright as we weren't too picky about these things :) We liked that was plenty of space for people to move around and take photos, and no awkward pillars blocking anyone’s view.

💌 SERVICE - 4.5/5 💌

When we expressed our interest via the hotel's website, we were connected with a hotel manager and a staff from TungLok. The hotel manager gave us a tour of the venue, but apart from that, we didn’t interact with her much. Throughout the process, we worked more closely with the TungLok staff, especially for the food tasting and payments. She was also the one replying our questions in our whatsapp chat! Overall, I thought the communication was good and everything was pretty well-organised!! Definitely a huge relief for me :')

📍 LOCATION - 4/5 📍

The location was pretty decent as it was in town (Orchard). The only thing to note is that it’s about an eight-minute walk from the nearest MRT (Orchard MRT) and not sheltered, which could be a bit inconvenient for guests, especially if it’s raining.

Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Absolutely no regrets choosing Orchard Rendezvous hehe! If you’re looking for an affordable & cosy hotel wedding banquet, I think this venue is definitely worth considering. Hope this review helps!
