weekend contemporary japanese dinner date - jypsy

walked past jypsy and decided to try our luck in getting a table without reservation on a public holiday; and we got it! and furthermore, we possibly had best table with the best views imo

things we tried

• oyster shots

- very nice appetiser choice cause it rly whet ur appetite with its bold ponzu sauce and red chili peppers. but rly expensive cause it was $16 for 2 shots….

• prawn sticks

- ordered it simply for the extra boost of protein

- very nice chunky bits of prawn nice but nothing too impressive

• asari clam spaghetti

- best dish we ordered! had many many clams and served w garlic bread at the side. soup base had a strong tint of yuzu too which i loveee; def a must must order!

• unagi fried rice

- fragrant fried rice, very comforting bowl but its just decent

• lobster and crab gyoza

- second best dish we ordered! bisque sauce was so goood and the fillings in the gyoza was rly generous too. would be better if they heated up the sauce a little

views and vibe is a 10/10; u can even watch the water show at mbs from your seats.

price wise jypsy is pretty reasonable given its generous portions. i wouldn’t say their food is anything special but it was comforting (-“: its a can visit place for ur dinner dates
