Ingredients
Blueberry syrup:
1/4 cup blueberries
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp water
A few drops lemon juice
Matcha latte:
1-2 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial grade)
60ml warm water
Milk of choice (I used barista style oat milk)
Ice
Instructions
Blueberry syrup:
1. In a medium saucepan add sugar, water and lemon juice and whisk. Bring to a boil over medium high heat and add the blueberries.
2. Simmer from 3-4 minutes until the blueberries burst and it starts to thicken. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Matcha:
3. Sift the matcha into a mug or small bowl to get rid of any lumps
4. Pour in the warm water (<80℃). Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk briskly from side to side until the matcha is fully dispersed and there is a foamy layer on top.
Blueberry matcha latte:
5. Pour the blueberry syrup in a glass cup. Add some ice, milk, and matcha.
6. Stir well and enjoy!
