Feeling unwell but still have things to do?
I’m currently working from home with a cold 🤧 so I know how tough it is to stay on top of work and your tasks when you’re not feeling well.
I wanted to share some actionable tips to help you and me stay productive, while giving your body the rest that it needs:
1️⃣ Prioritise and only do the essential tasks: focus on what’s important, and get that done first. Ask yourself: What absolutely needs to get done today? Let the non-urgent tasks wait.
2️⃣ Use timed work intervals: try working in short bursts, like 30 minutes of focus work, followed by 10-15 minutes of rest.
3️⃣ Batch your work: or you can try to get all of the important work done in a few hours, so that you can spend the rest of the time allowing yourself to rest.
4️⃣ Delegate or postpone: what is not that urgent or important. It’s ok to slow down when you’re not feeling well.
I’m trying to wrap up all of my work in a couple of hours, so that I can take the afternoon off and rest. A nap is going to be my reward 🫶🏻
