Join the morning people club with a calm nighttime routine!
I love waking up early in the summer and have different morning routines for summer/winter because although I'm a morning person, I have an easier time waking up when it's light outside.
In the summer time, I try to maximise my productivity, especially with working out in the mornings, before it gets too hot, so these tips are perfect if you too want to join the 6 AM morning club.
Here are my tips:
- Go to bed and train to wake up at the same time everyday. You can practice for a week, before your body will naturally adjust to the time change, making it easier to wake up at 6 AM. Set alarms in 15 min increments until you reach your target wake up time.
- Make sure you unwind 2 hours before bed, putting your phone away and engaging in a calming activity that doesn't involve you looking at a screen. I love to read before bed!
- Make sure you're getting enough sleep, so plan your routine around that.
