Half Boiled Eggs is one of the favourite Malaysian breakfasts.

Let’s learn how to cook them to a soft, creamy perfection in a hot water bath!

Fret not, I have attached some pictures for your reference!

I often start my day with easy breakfast like this, it is quick and time-saving! They are really easy to prepare. All you need are water, eggs, a saucepan, and/or mug. Oh yes, and a timer ( which you could use the timer in your phone) .

It is recommended to use kampung eggs if you have. Kampung eggs tend to be smaller and cooking time should be adjusted downwards accordingly, and they do taste better and smoother too!

Make sure the eggs are at room temperature. If not, remove them from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. If you are short on time, simply rinse them with warm water from the faucet until they are no longer cold.

Steps:-

1. Fill up the pot with water and wait for it to fully boiled.

2. Place the eggs into it and turn the heat off.

3. Have the lid cover and wait for 7 minutes.

4. Break the eggs and pour them into bowl, add in your desired seasoning like soy sauce or pepper.

5. Stir thoroughly and enjoy it! You could also pair it with toasts!
