I make this every year and I’ve done. A few variations. My very first one was made with a homemade almond cookie tart dough and filled with a mascarpone filling. I’ll be honest, that one was a bit grueling 😅

Another year I used cookie dough which wasn’t too bad but this year I used ready made puff pastry dough (can’t beat it with a bust schedule)

I made the whipped cream from scratch. All you need to do is best the below ingredients with a hand/stand mixer:
1 pint heavy whipping cream (COLD) (2 cups)
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Pro Tip: freeze the mixer attachments before making the whipped cream for an extra stiff result!

I layered with whipped cream + berries and topped with powdered sugar!

This is such a simple and delicious dessert + not overly sweet!

I also made some mini bunny shaped puff pastries a few weeks back (if you feel like scrolling back to see). I filled those with whipped cream and strawberry preserve 😋
