AUTHENTIC CHARCOAL-GRILLED KOREAN BBQ!?

welcome to my first ever Lemon8 post hehe 😛 nice to meet y'all, i'm lyn! ✨

my bf & i recently discovered this authentic korean bbq restaurant, and thought i'd share this gem with you guys!

first & foremost, the restaurant uses charcoal grill, which is + points from me! i always found charcoal grilled-meat so much nicer 😭🥩

what we ordered: beef & post set B (comes with side dishes & a soup)

kimchi jjigae 🍲: 9/10 ⭐️

the soup is so flavourful and comforting, a perfect dish for rainy days! 🌧️

-1 star as we agreed that the egg could be less-cooked, we prefer our egg on the rawer side in jjigae (just a personal preference!)

beef 🥩: 10/10

well-marinated, super fresh & yummy! not a huge fan of beef but this is definitely one of the best kbbq beef i've ever tasted ✨

pork 🐷: 8/10

pork marination was quite mild, definitely a 👎 compared to the beef :( but it's still quite good, very fresh!

mushroom 🍄‍🟫: 7/10

nothing can go wrong with mushroom... but i'm just disappointed that there was only 1 piece of mushroom even though this set was meant for ~2-3 pax 🤣

onion 🧅: 10/10

just an ordinary onion, very sweet upon grilling!

although the food was super good, one downside of this restaurant is the service. we encountered many issues with the grill for our table (not turning on, fire keeps going out), but none of the staff were interested to assist us. we also stood outside the restaurant waiting to be seated for 10 mins, the staff saw us waiting and none of them came to serve us, until we walked into the restaurant and stood at the cashier to approach them for a table.

apart from the service, i'd say this kbbq is a 9/10 ⭐️!

we'll definitely return in the near future 🤌🏻 and we recommend you guys to make a reservation before going, as it can get quite packed!
