Cafe Hopping in Jongno-3ga, Seoul (Honest Reviews)

Here are my honest reviews of the #koreacafe I visited in the Jongno-3ga region in #seoul 😘

📍 Cafe Highwaist

🕙 Opening hours: 11am-10pm daily

🍰 Our orders: Carrot Cake (₩8,000), Red Velvet Cake (₩9,500), Scotch Latte (₩7,500), Earl Grey Milk Tea in Teddy Bear Bottle (₩7,500)

👍 What I liked about this cafe: THE AESTHETICS!!! I love their calm and whimsical English cottage core vibes ~ And their toilet is clean too!

👎 What I didn’t like about the cafe: Each person must order 1 slice of cake and each slice is quite big and super filling so we ended up not finishing ours :”(

🌟 Rating: 4/5 - just because I didn’t like that they forced us to get a slice of cake each even though they are really delicious but other than that, everything else is great!

📍 Dongbaek Bakery

🕙 Opening hours: 9am-10pm daily

🍰 Our orders: Soufflé pancake (₩23,00), Drip Coffee (₩7,500)

👍 What I liked about this cafe: Their retro/vintage wooden aesthetics bc it feels like you’re stepping into your grandfather’s house and their staff was really friendly

👎 What I didn’t like about this cafe: The soufflé pancakes are overpriced for me (that small plate costs ₩23,000 🤯)

🌟 Rating: 2/5 - I personally wouldn’t go back again because I don’t think it’s value for money but if you’re into these vintage/retro aesthetics you should give it a try!! (I feel bad saying bad things about them bc their staff was rly nice)

👉 Other cafes in the region you may consider that I didn’t get to try myself: Wheat Toast (their steamed bread looks sooo good) & Cheongsudang (just look at their entrance and tell me you don’t feel like going in)
