Where To Shop For Affordable Clothes in Seoul

If you’re a broke student like me, this is the perfect shopping guide for you if you’re heading to #korea sometime soon.

1️⃣ Thrift Shops - Market in U & Gram Deal

📍 Location: Seongsu

🌟 Best if you’re looking for: Cheap thrills

✍🏼 Comments: Amazing variety of thrift items, all reasonably priced. Personally liked Market in U more than Gram Deal because the store layout is neater but you can probably find more gems in Gram Deal because they have a much bigger used apparel collection.

⚠️ Tip: Gram Deal’s location is pretty hard to find - you’ll have to go down a flight of shady-looking stairs to find the entrance.

2️⃣ Retail Chains - SPAO & ÅLAND & MIXXO

📍 Location: Gangnam, Myeongdong

🌟 Best if you’re looking for: Timeless basics/essentials to build your #capsulewardrobe

✍🏼 Comments: From my experience, Gangnam and Myeongdong branches are bigger and generally carry better items than other branches (eg. Hongdae).

3️⃣ GoToMall

📍 Express Bus Terminal

🌟 Best if you’re looking for: Taobao clothes in terms of both price & quality

✍🏼 Comments: Cheap, easy and quick buys. Prices are negotiable and most only accept cash. Also you can’t try any of them on!!! Great if you’re looking for cheap tanks/basics. Might find some gems now and then.
