🇫🇷 is life in France better than in Singapore?

Is it me, or life isn’t that great in Singapore 😳 anyway, I’ve been living in France for 2 years now and here’s why I’ll never move back to SG (it will always be home for me tho 💕)

⭐️ 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚

im not planning to be working my guts out for the rest of my life and I was surprised that the French really handle this balance quite well! No one works after working hours, they have separate phones for work which will be turned off once working hours end. Weekends or off days are strictly for rest 🥹

also, no one really judges you based on your job which I find really refreshing! Compared to the constant fight for pay increment or glamorous corporate life 🥲

⭐️ 4 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨

life changing. How did I even survive 28 years in the humidity and heat?! 🙈 I think good weather plays a part mentally as well, there’s nice weather for a good half a year (spring and autumn), you can walk for hours without sweating or your make up melting

⭐️ 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚

I thought I was a city girl until I moved to the countryside, everything is calm and quiet. I’ve learnt to appreciate the slow life and also realised that whatever I was trying hard to achieve in Singapore was pretty useless and all just for show 🥹

⭐️ 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙣/𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙚𝙩

I’ve learnt to enjoy life much more after moving here and also learnt a lot from their way of thinking. Especially on the topic of having kids, I’ve heard so much positive things compared to my friends back home who’ve all decided to not have kids cos too expensive 🥹 could be because of the environment as well, I prefer raising kids in a less stressful place! Their way of thinking is quite refreshing for me and it helps me question my own as well!
