DIY KNIT CARDIGAN update

UPDATE TIME!! 👏🏽👏🏽

So I completed the back panel finally! I could’ve had it done much quicker but I can only knit at night or while my son is napping 😴 can’t risk doing it around him and pulling it apart.

So for the specs:

I did 20 chain across

I did 50 rows

Chain top to close

Chain bottom to start (not sure if you count that as a row too but if you do then it’s a total of 52.

The whole back panel took 2 bundles and like 2 lines of the third just to finish it off. I could’ve just did the 2 bundles but I didn’t want to undo some of the rows.

Now I’m thinking for the front panels I’m going to do 10 and 10. I bought 3 bundles of the extra thick yarn by bernat and they are $24 a piece. I think I’m going to need maybe 1 or 2 more.

So far, it’s pretty good but I wish I did the stitching tighter so I didn’t have some of those pieces you can see through.

As far as learning and doing it, it’s easy and straightforward. But the more you practice the cleaner it gets. I’ll be continuing to update as I go along with the process. Probably once I start connecting the pieces.

I’m so excited to see it come together though!! Got to get read for fall! 🍁
