DON’T REPEAT OUR MISTAKE! :(

my boyfriend and i went on a trip to bali in 2023 and we regret the decision we made to do horse-riding..

we found a horse stable through google, and we thought it was suitable for us as the reviews seemed great. (i will not be disclosing the name here, but you can dm if youre interested)

👎🏼 why i didn’t like it: when my bf and i arrived at the stable, we saw how the horses and the farm animals were in such poor condition, they obviously weren’t taken care of! :( this broke my heart 💔 and i was very reluctant to go through with it however i was scared of the locals being mad as i’ve already booked the slot weeks ago so my bf and i went through with it but we felt so guilty.. the place was so dirty and filled with flies everywhere!!! i’m not sure if i will get backlash for posting this, but i truly believe that it was not a hospitable environment for ANYONE. we tried to get off the horses early as the horses really looked uncomfortable, the guides had to pull the horses in order for them to walk.. kinda felt like animal abuse………

also, it was kinda awkward riding horses and everyone on the beach is just looking HAHAHA if i were to go again (definitely with a horse stable that prioritises their animals’ well-being) i’d go during sunrise as there aren’t many people and it’s also cooling

👍🏼 a good thing: the guides there will take a million pictures and videos on your phone.

💸 cost: 600,000rp/pax per hour

equivalent to ~$51sgd/pax

PLEASE, if you wanna do horse-riding ANYWHERE, do research properly and use tiktok to see reviews!!!
