Cherry Vintage Cake Decorating

Let's decorate a cherry vintage cake! I recently got the cutest cherry press on nails from the brand Paintlab, and after putting them on, I knew that I had to create a matching cake!

I'm very much into cherries, and started off with the base of my cake with a pastel pink buttercream. I then began to pipe along some borders, as well as draping buttercream along the sides to create the classic vintage look. I love using my Wilton and Ateco piping tips to create these designs.

Of course, I could not forget the cherries, and I piped those onto the sides of the cake, along with a real maraschino cherry right on top for an added touch! I love how inspiration can come from anywhere when I want to create cakes, even from my nails.
