GEMS you NEVER KNEW that existed in JB!!

so what happened was that my bf wanted to arrange a trip to JB to celebrate my bday!! 🤩😋 (hehhehe thank you bby 🫶🏻)

and he included new places + my favs into this trip just to surprise me hehehe (though i didnt feel any surprise element oopsie 😬🤭🤫🤫)

through this trips there's a few hidden gems that you MUST GO in JB fr !!!

📍Capri Hotel

- honestly this was one of the best stays i've had in JB (comparing to prev airbnb + hotels)

- why? CAUSE the bed WAS JUST RIGHT INFRONT OF that FULL glass window, the view was solid

- not just that, the pantry area was huge and the facilities (eg toilet, bathroom, soap etc) were all SO CLEAN and fragrant

- stay was considered one of the higher priced hotels in JB , but honestly when compared to SG and having that CLEANLINESS, it was considered super worth

- they also have pool and gym and buffet spreads avail

- PS if you drive in, might be troublesome cause this is near customs and if you were to return to hotel, youll have to queue with the customs queues :(

👨‍🍳🫒 Sweetwater Mediterranean Bar & Grill

- ngl they serve the best mediterranean food at reasonable prices

- the beef was in medium rare and gosh it was PERFECTLY DONE and the quality of beef was 😘

- before anything, they serve bread with free flow olive oil (legit olive oil) and its alrdy so delicious

- ordered seasonal tomato scallop soup (bruh i was speechless eating this cause it was SO GOOD)

- tenderloin steak (medium rare - it was HUGE and REASONABLY PRICED and they serve a mushroom kindda vegetable at the side (which was also so wellll marinated!!!!) )

- slow cook mandarin duck with orange sauce (it was tender but we suggest skipping this cause the beef was the show honestly heheh)

- dont wanna spend too much to eat a good meal in SG? just come here , they definitely serve food worthy a 1000 in SG

🍱 Warakuya Japanese Restaurant (near KSL)

- okay next up is my to go, Warakuya Japanese Restaurant

- they serve the FRESHEST sashimi in JB and honestly its vvvvvv reasonably priced!! (imagine a charashi don for $10 -$12 ?? and FRESH FISH??)

- and when you spend abv 100rm, you get a 10rm gift card for next time (like this is defo value for money ya)

- never go you'll regret for lyfe ngl

- PS queues are usually SUPER LONG (like we queued 2h for dinner time) , so do go earlyyyy to save timeee

🤤 BOD (Midvalley Southkey)

- they have many outlets and all PAUS are HANDMADE

- my go to is the kungfu pau with siew mai set (and AIYU JELLY DRINK!!!)

- kungfu pau is flavourful and tender but if you want something MORE flavourful get the big pau !!!

- siew mai is SOLID , like i was biting into REAL PRAWNS

- aiyu jelly drink was tangy!! and sweet!!

- ive eaten paus my entire life and i can guarantee this was one of the best ive eaten in my lyfe , its good fr

🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️ Camp5 (Paradigm Mall)

- my bf loves bouldering and according to him, the routes here are suitable for beginners- intermediate climbers!!

- routes tests more on strategy rather than strength

- PS colour indicating the levels here are somehow not v accurate but honestly no one cares hahahaha (it was a good workout sess with him!!)

- they offer harness climbing tooo , so if youre in for bouldering this is a good place!!
