I decided to throw a floating brunch party recently. It’s still pretty warm here in Georgia and I wanted to enjoy the weather while I can.
Don’t get scammed by these floating brunch companies. Here’s how I did it…
It actually wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be😆 I got all of my supplies from the dollar store, the glue gun from Michaels and got the tray basket from Home Goods. I made a few trays (round and square).
I glued the pool noodles clockwise to the bottom of the round tray and used duck tape to secure the ends. Then I cut off the excess noodle. For the square tray I used 2 different methods I used rope for 1 and just used glue for the second tray because I didn’t have enough glue sticks for both trays. I feel like the tray I made using rope floated a bit better.
SUPPLIES
Flowers
Glue gun
Pool noodles
Scissors
Rope (optional)
Spray paint (optional)
tray basket
Duck tape
Food (Takeout)
The round tray was much easier to make than the square trays. For food you can get a family sized meal from your favorite brunch spot. You can also spray paint your tray baskets any color you like.
You can check out my TikTok video to see how it floats and I’ll try to add more pics on the process.
Would you try this?
Save for later!
