Tips my therapist mom gives her clients

I may not be able to afford therapy, but luckily my mom is a therapist so here are is some advice she’s given me. Some of these are things she won’t actually tell her clients because she says they “need to come to the realization themselves”

-Relationships can be healing, but they are not the place to work on each other. Y’all will only distract yourselves from your own healing journeys

-Use accommodations. Whether you have a disability or just find that certain accommodations make life easier for you, you deserve to take up space and be comfortable

-Little treats are soo important

-Take breaks, don’t force yourself to do everything everyday

-Do some soul searching
