your 21st birthday guide 🫶🏻

heyyy girlies! as i was planning my 21st birthday, i was panicking bc i didn’t know exactly what to do & was frantically finding ideas. so if you’ve clicked into this, im sure you’re in the same situation & i’m here to help just a little 🤪

THEME 🩵

all my friends would know that i am OBSESSED with baby blue thus i decided to go with a blue/white themed birthday! i got my guests to wear white while i was dressed in blue so i got to stand out abit 🤪 honestly looks great in photos!

VENUE 🏘️ (~$700/2nights as nsrcc member)

i booked nsrcc as it’s my family’s go-to celebration chalet! the chalet is really huge & relatively new so it’s really a GREAT chalet to book to celebrate your 21st. however, it is quite a popular place so please book early!!!! my birthday was during june holidays & when we checked in jan/feb it was alr almost fully booked…. i had to settle for a date that wasn’t my initial plan.

FOOD 🍽️ (~$1k)

as i had quite a large amount of guests, we decided to go with buffet style + bbq!!! remember to always order more as it’s better to have leftovers than have your guests go hungry!

CAKE 🎂 ($250)

i already had an initial cake design i had in mind that i always wanted for my 21st! you can always look for ideas on pinterest :”) however, my mom had another design in mind but it looked similar to mine so i js went along with it! my mom contacted our usual home baker, all our birthday cakes has been from her and she does not disappoint!

DECORATIONS 🎊 ($115)

always have your theme set before deciding on decorations! i initially wanted to get balloons setups but they were wayyy out of my budget ☹️ i ended up getting personalised balloon orbz, side balloons & the big 21! they weren’t that cheap either but you only turn 21 once right 🤣 i wanted to get some blue flowers as decos too but my bf thought it was a waste of money & he bought me flowers instead to use a deco!!!! i also got table cloth off shopee for about $10!

ACTIVITIES 🎲

i was honestly cracking my brains trying to think of activities but i rlly couldn’t…. i ended up just doing a kahoot game with my friends to see who knows me best 🤣 (my bf came in third 😭) it’s actly a pretty fun activity as everyone is frantically asking each other for answers & being competitive at the same time

my mom wanted to hire a professional photographer initially to take pictures for my birthday. however, upon looking at their portfolio it was pretty normal & we decided to give it a pass. thankfully, 2 of my very good friends offered to take pictures for me & they turned out SO CUTE 😚😚 i love you all

unfortunately, i fell super sick 2 days before my celebration so i was feeling really shit during my party 🥴 it was a lil blur for me but i’m just so happy to have all my loved ones gathered in one place to celebrate my special day ❤️ i hope this helps you a lil to plan your birthdays & i hope you have the BEST DAY EVER 🥳
