4️⃣ Haven Specialty Coffee

Haven is located in Haymarket, near the Paddy’s Markets. They have quite a few outlets in Sydney, mostly espresso bars but the one located in Rosebery is a cafe. Renowned for their distinctive house blend, which features a harmonious balance of bright acidity and rich, chocolatey undertones, Haven serves a range of meticulously crafted espresso drinks and pour-over options. Please do give it a try when you’re there!

5️⃣ Dutch Smuggler

Their house blend named Gold Candy, has a profile of candy, brown molasses, chocolate and sea salt caramel. They have a cafe too, located at Circular Quay, that serves mi goreng toasties! This outlet we visited just had coffee and pastries. I would definitely check out the cafe if I’m back in Sydney! The food looks pretty delicious 🤤

6️⃣ Edition Roasters

Saving the best for the last!! 🥳

This was the last cup of specialty coffee that we had in Sydney and it was certainly the most unforgettable. Edition Roasters has a seasonal, rotating roster of specialty singles. They do not do blends 😱 I recall their latte to be a range of fruit-forward, tea-like, lighter roast profiles that brim with flavour and textural nuance. It was a pleasant delight after days of drinking medium to dark roasted coffee.
