A WINTER WEEKEND IN TROMSØ, NORWAY 🇳🇴

Did you know the Aurora Borealis (aka Northern Lights) are supposed to be super strong this winter? My favorite place to see them is in the very north of Norway, up in the Arctic Circle: a small town called Tromsø. Here's what you need to know:

- Hotels in town range from $150-$250 generally, and offer a big Norweigen breakfast. I stayed at Clarion The Edge and had a nice experience.

- Tromsø in the winter is COLD. You need warm layers, good wool knits like hats and gloves, and winter boots with traction devices like Yak Trax so you don't slip on ice. I also recommend hand warmers and toe warmers.

- Besides the Northern Lights, there's a million things to do here! Camp Tamok is your headquarters for dog sledding (a MUST DO bucket list activity!), snowmobiling, reindeer rides and more.

- For food and drinks, you shouldn't miss the Northernmost brewery in the world. Tromsø offers a wealth of local food and SUPER fresh seafood. Don't be afraid to try something new like brown cheese (tastes better than it looks) or reindeer!
