THE CUTEST MOUNTAIN TOWN IN ECUADOR 🇪🇨

Baños, Ecuador, a hidden gem in the heart of the Andes Mountains. Nestled amidst lush greenery and framed by the majestic Tungurahua volcano, this picturesque town is my favorite affordable HQ for nature and adrenaline junkie-style travel. Here's what you need to know:

- You can easily take a bus or shuttle from Quito, it's about a 3 hour drive!

- Selina Hostel is in the center of town and was a great place to stay. If you want to treat yourself, Luna Volcano in the mountains is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen.

- Baños has a great combination of Ecuadorian food (stop by the central market!) and international food as many tourists visit the city. Soma Beer Garden is owned by an American man and his Ecuadorian wife and is delicious with such a friendly staff! They even have sushi.

- You HAVE to try something adventurous in Baños. Zip lining, canyoning, mountain biking and more are available via dozens of operators in town. I enjoyed my experiences with ExplorSierra and Imagine Ecuador!

- The best way to get around town is to use the various trusted taxi stands. They will take you into the mountains as well. The town center itself is very safe and walkable.
