THE PERFECT LONG WEEKEND IN MEDELLIN 🇨🇴

One of my favorite cities I have ever visited! A few tips:

Stay in El Poblado, particularly either Manila or Provenza as these are the most tourist-friendly spots with the best restaurants, nightclubs, art and more 💃

Sample both street food and restaurants or take a food tour if you want an introduction to Colombian cuisine. For the nicer restaurants in El Poblado, make a reservation ahead of time 🥘

Take a Spanish class and make sure to learn a few Spanish phrases before visiting as many people do not speak English ✏️

Use Airbnb experiences to book tours with locals, such as the Comuna 13 tour 🗺️

Avoid talking about Pablo Escobar or politics, he can be very controversial with Colombians because of the history 🛑

Uber and public transit are both great ways to get around; the metro is cheap and super clean and Uber is very affordable as well🚊

Medellin is very safe, but watch for pickpockets if you are downtown 👀
