Beaches you need to visit: Part 1🌞🌊🌴

I can admit…I’m a beach-aholic. I find myself traveling to many tropical places ad that’s all due to my innate love for the ocean as a freediver, surfer, and pro tanner! So with all my beach experience, here are some of my favorites and best recommendations for beaches you have to go to at least once in your life! Starting off strong…

Thoddoo sunrise guest beach:

Has the clearest water, white sand, and the most vibrant tropical greenery! (Important to note that this is one of the only beaches on the island that you are able to wear a bikini due to local religious reasons)

Mirissa Beach, Sri Lanka:

One of the most infamous beaches of Sri Lanka(especially if you are into surfing) and a beach unlike many others. It has a couple different surf breaks for all types of surfers from beginner to experienced, it’s close to many delicious restaurants and cafes, and it’s right next to a Bay called Turtle Bay which you are guaranteed to find turtles hanging around!

Waimea Bay, Oahu:

This is one of my favorite beaches in North Shore of Oahu! While there may be some parking issues as the parking lot isn’t very big, the parking annoyance is worth the hassle for a relaxing or energetic day at the beach. The energy and vibe of all the people there is very nice and there are always groups of friends playing different games! Also, the infamous Waimea rock is there and you’re able to jump off of it and into the water!

Polihale State Park Beach, Kauai:

This beach is SO special!! It is on farthest west of the island that you could possibly go and that’s what makes it so remote and peaceful. It’s position on the island makes it far from any kind of man-made light, so when the sun goes down the stars shine brighter then almost nowhere I have seen before. Camping on the beach and waking up for a dip in the ocean here is unmatched!

Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica:

There are many beautiful beaches in Costa Rica (and there are actually three with this exact same name). This one is about 20 minutes north of Santa Teresa Beach and while it has it’s similarities to Santa Teresa, it is definitely less populated! If you’re looking to escape the crowd then this beach will be perfect to spend the day tanning or enjoy a relaxing sunset!
