9 Saturdays until Christmas

A recap of preparation. These past few weeks might feel too early to think about Christmas but come mid-December I'm always glad I started so early. This whole month is all about planning and preparing. I like to see what big events are happening so I can book it early. Get any travel plans set in motion so I'm not rushing around. I can also set time aside for volunteering and helping around my community.

I firmly believe Christmas should not be a financial burden to anyone. No gift to friends, coworkers, or even some family is worth you have to make sacrifices to afford it, and I'm talking about it effecting what groceries you can afford, paying bills on time, or even just adding the purchase to credit card debt. Starting early will give you more paychecks to work with when budgeting.

If you like the DYI presents, like I do, starting in October takes so much stress off the project itself. I can take my time and actually enjoy the craft or not freakout if something goes wrong. I have the time to tweak and adjust anything I'm working on. I can also take breaks if I get a little bored with it.
