My first musical experience in Singapore!

The last time I watched a musical was on an overseas secondary school trip more than 10 years ago, The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway! I couldn't fully appreciate it then and have always wanted to watch one as an adult with a fully developed frontal lobe LOL.

I was so excited when I saw that there was going to be a local run of the musical, "tick, tick... BOOM!". Watching the Netflix movie adaptation was memorable, and I told myself that I would watch the musical if I ever had the chance.

✨️ Experience

The theatre actors were all so talented, and I think that's the thing about musicals. You can really feel the passion of the actors performing live in front of your very own eyes. Or it might also be because that's the plot of the musical? 😅

As somebody who is a frequent concert go-er, it felt as if I just went for a concert HAHA.

Me and my friend enjoyed the show so much that we spent the whole walk on the way to the bus stop as a debrief session.

It's so nice to see talented local talents perform so well. #SupportLocal

I only paid $28 (excld booking fees) for my ticket as part of the opening offer, and I think having that accessibility to enjoy the ✨️ arts ✨️ was definitely a plus point in today's economy.

Even so, this won't be the last musical I will be watching!
