Not a matcha person because it’s too bitter imo… but the desserts at Yanagi Chaya rly got me questioning myself because they were so GOOD!! 😩💕

1️⃣ Uji Matcha Tiramisu

Omg… this was the best matcha cake I’ve ever had. The layer of matcha powder adds a slightly bitter kick to the creamy custard beneath 🤤 AND!! There’s also hojicha-soaked sponge cake at the bottom that melts in your mouth 😭😭😭 TRULY A MUST-EAT.

2️⃣ Sweet Uji Matcha Dessert with Rice Cake Balls

Vvv soft and bouncy mochi balls! The red bean paste was slightly salty but mixed well with the sweet matcha. Comes with kelp too!!

3️⃣ Matcha Float With Red Bean Paste & Rice Cake Balls

Okay tbh this one wasn’t really good… it was kinda watery which was sad because it looked promising 🥺 SKIP.

4️⃣ Udon Noodle with Grated Yam

Cheating because this isn’t matcha BUTTT it was an AMAZINGGG bowl of udon 😍 Comes with grated ginger and the soup was healing and refreshing. I drank all the soup and slurped up the raw egg and it was 😋
