HOW MY INTERN WOULD GO (IF I COULD START OVER) 🤧

Save this if you’re an incoming intern!! Now that my lil job is ending in a few weeks, here’s what I wished I did differently from Day 1 (so you can kickstart your own on the right note! :-))

✰ 𝐁𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊

Instead of waiting for check-ins, keep people updated on what you’re doing and actively ask them if there’s anything else you could assist with! Don’t be shy!! This builds trust and establishes you as a reliable team member :-) They’ll also appreciate you for freeing up their time so they can focus on other important tasks <3

✰ 𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊

I wish I could’ve sought feedback more often on WHAT areas I can improve on and HOW to address them. Embracing constructive criticism may be challenging initially, but building this habit not only shows that you’re eager to learn but allows you to be 1% better every day! Then when the internship is over, you’ll be more prepared for the workforce ✨

It’s a good practice to show that you appreciate your colleagues for being patient and teaching a greenhorn as someone more experienced in the field. But be sincere about it :x
