The Azores are a group of nine volcanic islands located about 1,000 miles off the coast of Portugal. When planning a trip to the Azores, São Miguel is typically the main island people are attracted to. However, if you are able to spend more time exploring, I highly recommend visiting other islands. You will be surprised by how vastly different each island is!
