Some maybe Useful tips for LONDON!

Went to London for about a month during July earlier to attend summer school, so here are some of the useful tips on easier/ fuss free start if you are going there to travel or study!

1️⃣SIM Card

The first thing after you touched down in London is to get a Sim card for your phone! If youre travelling, I will recommend you to get from ee which I feel it has the strongest connection even in further zones. If youre studying, it is best to compare the plans between each of the companies and see which is your preference.

2️⃣Transportation

Afterwards go straight to the subway station and get an oyster card(p3), also, by downloading the TFL Oyster app(p2) helps you to check your balance and top it up if you dont want to go to the nearest station.

I will mainly recommend you to take bus or by foot because the subway is super expensive(ignore this if youre super rich) and with no signal!! Hence before you hop onto any trains please make sure you know where to alight!!

Citymapper app(p2) is a very useful app that helps me to get home most of the time in London. It shows the best route for you to go to your destinations and show the different transportation prices as well.

Also please check for strike or if the bus stop is closed! Once waited at the bus stop only realising the bus stop is closed after 30 minutes!😪

3️⃣Accommodation

I got mine from airbnb, it was a nice place and I was satisfied with the service until my chocolates in the shared kitchen got stolen👿(they were gifts for my friends which cost around 20 pounds). But sadly I didnt get back anything because there are no cctv in the living area.

So please please be careful of your own things and always sound out to the staff members for help.

Think I will update more fun places I visited in London in awhile I really really love the city and will definitely go back again!!!
