What a beautiful story of a strong & resilient woman’s life throughout the 50’s & 60’s.

Victoria is on her way to sell her fathers peaches when she meets Wilson Moon a drifter, they briefly cross paths but this encounter impacts both of their lives forevermore.

Set in a real life Colorado town that was eventually destroyed and flooded in order to make a reservoir. It’s drenched in nature, hardships, & loss.

Though the author never makes you never feel completely hopeless.

I loved how nature was a main character, it was like I could feel, taste, & smell all that Victoria (the main character) described throughout her time in the wilderness.

It definitely made me go out to the local farmers market & get some peaches!

Such a wonderful debut novel and one of my favorite reads of the entire year!

An absolutely stunning read through and through 🍑
